Ben and I have just come back from spending a beautiful week in Cornwall, England’s holiday hot spot. It is a mission to get to, and with only one A road and everyone having the same idea, traffic is a nightmare. But this county, as far as it is, is worth it.
Nearby to where we were staying was Sennen Cove, our first stop for a beach, coastal walks, and fish and chips.
We watched paragliders jump off the cliffs to sail the air, children running into the cold water in wet suits, typical British wind blockers (those plastic walls you see in the photographs), and surfers on the waves. Our fish and chips were average, but tasty, and when consumed by the seaside it feels authentic. Summer feels like it has arrived, even though we barely gave up our warm jackets or dared to bare our feet in the chilly sands.
